Please help,19month old not sleeping

My 19month old is not sleeping at night. He usually gets tired by 20:00, I give his " last"  feed, then he falls asleep. I put him down and he sleeps till about 22:00. After that he wakes up every 15 sometimes every 5 minutes, and then he cries for a feed. I am exhausted because he is on the breast and it tires me because I dont get sleep at all. We thought it' s the medication he was taking for bronchitis, Asthavent, causing the sleeplessness, so we stopped that, but it didnt change, he still wakes up. He also had an ear infection about three weeks ago, but was given antibiotics, so I assume it cleared up the infection. He has no temperature or anything that I can see that might indicate his ear infection is not gone yet.

He has his supper at about 18:30, because we get home late, so we dont give him too much food seeing as its close to his bed time, so could it be that he is hungry? And if so what can we give him that wont take long to digest or make his tummy ache.

I just dont know what to do anymore, I feel like Im losing my mind, not getting sleep and breastfeeding practically all night long. Please help

The most likely cause of this degree of sleeplessness in a child of your son's age is a blocked nose. Children simply cannot sleep or even fall asleep if their nose is blocked. If his nose is indeed blocked try using Salex nose drops twice day for 7 days and see if he improves. If not and especially if he snores then have him seen by an ENT specialist. If his nose is not blocked he may still have an ear infection and once again he should be seen by an ENT specialist.
