The virus is very infectious and may simply affect some people as a sore throat. It can be rather dangerous as it can cause a problem called myocarditis which is an infection of the heart muscle. If your child has had this recurrence of symptoms especially the sore throat and leg pains it would be safest if he was seen by your paediatrician.
