Pimple/Blister on Toddler's Hand

Good Afternoon Dr,

My LO is 20 months, she has had a pimple/blister on the inside of her hand for the past week. It looks purple and it has a hard white head. I've been using some germolene which is not helping and it's getting bigger. I'm thinking of taking her to have it checked. Do you have any suggestions of what it could be? I'm just concerned that it could be an insect/spider bite. Thank you

There is a viral illness called hand foot and mouth disease which may only affect the hands.Other conditions such as scabies can start off this way in young children. Please ask your paediatrician to see her.
