Q.

Pale Skin

Good day Dr

My son was treated at 9 months with ferrimed for low iron. he is now 4.5 yrs old and is looking extremely pale and has dark rings, sometime a blue/balck colour sometime an almost red colour under his eyes.

Could this be his iron levels dropping again and what should i try or should i go straigt to Dr

Your son's appearance is probably not due to an iron deficiency, but is probably due to him being an allergic child. This appearance is typical of children with allergies especially a nasal allergy such as persistent hay fever. Speak to your paediatrician about your son being possibly allergic and ask for allergy tests to be done.
