Q.

overweight or thriving?

My baby is now almost 4 and a half months and weighs 7.3kg. According to the nurse at the clinic she is over the line of the average child. She suggested that I limit her time on the breast (she is combination fed) and also give her less than the recommended dose of formula. The question I have is that if a baby is doing well and gaining more weight than suggested is she considered overweight or just thriving?

Her weight is only slightly above the average and she is doing very well indeed. Please don't change anything in her diet.
