Overweight Hungry Baby

Dear Doc

My son recently turned 8 months and we were told by a nurse at our local clinic that he is overweight.

His meal plan is as follows:

7am - one heap tablespoon of Cerelac mixed with a a quater of his formula (45ml)
9am - 65ml of formula
12 noon - half a bottle of Purity Stage Two meal or dessert
2pm - the rest of his bottle (65ml)
4pm - the rest of his Purity Stage Two meal or dessert
6pm - a whole bottle of formula (175ml)
7pm - bedtime

He feeds on a whole bottle during the night.

Where am I going wrong? I''m so scared he will develop chest problems.

PLEASE help.

Unfortunately you have not given your baby son's weight. It would also be good to know about his height. Your son may just be a big boy and his weight may be in keeping with his height. He seems to be on a reasonable diet. Please let me know about his weight and his height so that I can advise you further.

You will need to repost your question for the prof, and then include your baby''s weight.
