Omega 3 and 6

Is it important to give Babies over 1 Omega 3 and 6. I have been looking around and most of the brands only do Omega 3. Can babies have the same as adults take or do they have to take special baby omega 3 and 6? Which brand do you recommend?

The new recommendations for infant feeding state that formulas should contain both Omega 3 and 6, but most formulas only have adequate Omega 3 at this stage. If you breast fed your baby initially breastmilk contains both Omega 3 and 6.It is probably not necessary to supplement Omega 6 now, although I do not know how old your baby is. Once over a year you can supplement both.
