Q.

Omega 3

Doc

My 15 month old's diet does not contain fish and i am a firm believer in Omega 3. I have not incl fish due to her displaying other allergies so I really am just taking precaution until such time a doctor is willing to actually determine via a test whether fish could be an allergen in her case (apparently she is too young for tests) What supplement can i give her (15 months) or what other foods contain good sources of brain boosting foods. This is very nb to me as her mother as i have a neurological condition and would really like to make sure my daughters whole central nervous system gets the best it can to function optimally in later life through a good diet. I know corn also has omega am i right? will sweetcorn be fine? does avos also contain? what else as she does not really like avos?

You may ask our online dietician for advice as well, but my opinion is that a healthy balanced diet with lots of fruit and vegetables (including fish) is sufficient. It would probably be best to try giving some fish (the tests are available at this age, but I do not think it is truly warranted).
