Not eating / drinking enough

Hi Doc, My son turns 10 mnths this week and is at home during the week with a wonderful nanny. She manages to get him to have a bottle in the morning, breakfast cereal, mid morning snack such as a small piece of bread or biscuit, lunch, bottle, mid afternoon bottle and mid afternoon snack. He then doesn' t have much for dinner when we get home. That all great.
My problem is that onthe weekends he barely eats or drinks anything. I manage to get 3/4 of his morning bottle, eats her cereal, but I battle to get anything else down him for the rest of the day. He refused his bottles this weekend altogether. Barely got him to eat much, although he does like to finger snack. When I go near him with a bottle he screams and puts his arm in front of his mouth.
I eventually gave up and just offered him water.
I know he is teething as I can see one has just popped up this last few days. Could that be a cause?
I called my nanny this lunch time and he' s had 2 bottles, breakfast and lunch... What am I doing wrong - he' ll eat and drink with her, but not me.
I feel like such a failure as a mother, but at least I know my nanny will feed him 5 days a week and I battle along on the weekends...
It' s the same food and milk - nothing different!!!
Help your advise please!

You are really lucky to have such a wonderful nanny for your baby and he can be looked after at home. The nannies in this country have infinite amounts of patience and time. Your son seems to progressing well.He may have a problem with teething. You are an excellent mother and the weekend problems are just a passing phase. Don't get stressed and if your son does not want to take his bottle don't try and force him.
