Q.

Not Eating

Pls help. My toddler is 22 months old and not eating. The only thing she is interested in is a bottle in the morning and a bottle in the eveining. She is very healty with no problems with her teeth, she used to be a very good eater but now refuses to eat anything. I have resorted to making soups and force feeding her soup. If I dont do this she will not eat a thing. What else can I do? Is there not a vitamin or supplement that I can give her that will make her hungry??

I do not know why children sometimes have periods where they eat less, but the main observation is that your child is otherwise healthy. As long as your child is playful (as always), gaining weight and thriving, then I will not be too concerned about the amount that he eats. If there are any other persistent symptoms then it will require evaluation. I do not know of any safe appetite stimulant. The most important thing is not to give your child any unhealthy snacks e.g. chips or sweets in between meals.
