Q.

New born baby(3 days old)

My baby was born on the 17/11/2004.The problem we have with my wife is that as soon as he was born through a cesarean section he had to be admitted to high care due to rapid breathing which was about 80 breaths per minute of which I believe should be around 60 breaths per minute. Now our problem is that is this breathing going to affect our baby in a long run, right now it is coming down nicely but I am just worried about the long term effects. The baby will be discharged on wednesday(24/11/2004).

Any help will be appreciated

What you describe is very common following a ceserean section and it should not have any long term effects.
