Nebulizer does it work!

My son has a very wet cough and sounds like there is a lot of mucus on his lungs. Would the nebulizer work to dry it up. He is drinking allergy medicine and always have a snotty nose. He is not really coughing at night but when he is running I can hear the coughing.

He sounds very much as if he has asthma. Please ask your doctor to treat him for this problem. The treatments available these days are very effective.

This is a great article. I’ve read in many other places before that but I did not get this type of effective and more useful text. It is really important now to vary your anchors as this seems more natural to user. This article helped me a lot to understand information. Nebulizer

Yip, definately works for a dry cough. A Croup cough is very dry and it works wonders. It helps to loosen the flem.

Hope this helps

Thanks all for replying.
To Nanny: Nebulizer you can usually buy at a pharmacy they are about R350 - R450. But I have seen at Mediclinic that they sell second hand ones for much cheaper. As far as I know it actually helps with a wet cough not sure about a dry one. Maybe one of the other ladies can help.

Yes it definately works!! My daughter gets croup quite regularly and as soon as I see the first signs I immediately use the nebulizer. Just a tip - sometimes you run out of meds to put in the nebulizer and alot of this meds you cannot get over the counter. It is always a good idea to have some Saline solution in your medicine cabinet - you can buy it in 500ml bottles. When you run out of meds you can use this, it definately helps-at leat during the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping. You can then get a perscription in the morning from the doctor.
Hope this helps.
