Q.

Nearly 4 & still not toilet trained???

There is no method I have not tried with my son who will be 4 in October. If I see him pushing and take him to the toilet he does sometimes do it and did it for 6 weeks, but I always have to initiate. It doesn't seem to worry him having poo in his nappy! If I put underpants on him then he hides away and does it in his pants anyway. I have tride the stars and stickers, chocolate, toys at the end of a successful week . I have steps, seats, potties, weeman urinal, enos in the potty etc.
He will do it only if I initiate and then reward him, and thats sometimes only.
I have tried scolding him and then he refuses to go at all.
Please help?
He does have Sensory Processing Disorder which makes it more difficult for him, but he has done it sometimes. He is the last of all his peers and needs to be out of nappies for school next year.
Any suggestions?

Your son is getting a bit old not to be potty trained. The problem is that you have tried all the usual methods already.Your mention of the fact that he has a sensory processing disorder which may have something to do with his problem to learn about potty training. Have you had him assessed by a paediatric neurologist or developmental paediatrician? This is advisable before you make any further attempts to re-start his potty training.
