nausia just before bed time in children

My son - 8yrs - has complained of nausia just before bedtime and sometimes in the mornings. This has gone on for about 3 weeks. No other symptoms. Only complains once, it does not seem to be that bad. I have not given him anything for it. He is not one to resist going to bed. Any ideas?

This often happens in children who have a post nasal mucous drip. If your son has had a bad cold recently and still has lots of mucous that is blocking his nose, this is the most likely cause. Clear his nose by using a saline nasal spray such as Sterimar.
