Q.

Nappy changes/changing clothes

My son is 22 months and all of a sudden he hates having his nappy changed or changing his clothes. He kicks and cries and just doesn' t want to do it - after a while, he settles down, realising that it isn'  that bad. It may be because it' s colder now, but even if the room is warm, he does this - is it a stage that he' s going through? Shouldn' t he want to change his clothes at this age - dressing himself?

This kind of behaviour is common in many children of this age for a short time. If he persists and even possibly gets worse with this problem it may be a good idea to see a physiotherapist as they are experienced in dealing with children with increased tactile sensitivity as appears to be the case with your son at present.
