Q.

NAN1 - baby not taking bottle

I'm currently trying to get my little one off the breat and onto formula. She however refuses to take the bottle with Nan - any other good formulas that I can try? She pulls faces when she tastes the milk. I've tried giving water and expressed breastmilk respectively just to test whether it's the taste of Nan that she does not like and she did not react the same way at all, so I gather I need to try another formula?

I do not think the formula is the problem. Children that are used to the breast prefers the breast irrespective of what formula you present to them. I will encourage you to continue breast feeding as long as possible, at least for the first 6 months.

Please remember to first mix the Formula as indicated on the can and then blend the Fromula milk into the breast milk. Do not blend the powder into the breastmilk.

The best way that I can suggest is to at first express your breastmilk and start mixing in the formula gradually (at first a quarter formula en the rest breastmilk; then half-half and so on), until you are only giving formula. It will take about 2 weeks. That was what I did when taking my baby off breastmilk (I also swiched to NAN and had no problems at all) and also again from NAN1 to NAN2 and then again from formula to normal cow's milk. Their tummies also get time to get used to the change and you will not have problems with constipation.

Hi,

My son drinks S26, although he drinks the S26-AR (anti Refluks), I tasted it and it's really nice.... maybe try S26.
We also used NAN-Pelargon, but don't even try it, we only had problems.............

Good luck
