Nan Lactose Free

My baby is 3 weeks old, he was on Infasoy from birth. He developed loose stools (about 9 in 24 hours) and there was blood in the one stool. I took him to the paed and he told me to put him on Nan Lactose Free. His loose stools immediately cleared up and he is fine now. I would like to know isn' t Infasoy also ' n lactose free formula? When he was on the Infasoy he was full for longer. It seems that my baby cannot get full from the Nan, he is hungry after 2 and half hours. Do you think as he gets older he would keep longer between feeds or is the Nan a type of formula that dont fill them up.

Isomil is a soya formula and as such is lactose free but your baby could not tolerate this formula. He can tolerate the NAN LF but is hungry on this formula. Do you know if he is lactose intolerant or not? If he is not lactose intolerant he can go onto a regular formula such as NAN 1 which will feed him up more than the NAN LF.

I have a 5 month old who has been on Wyeth S-26 since she was 3 months old, she stopped breastfeeding completely at four months and over the last three weeks has developed a rash around her neck, cheeks and chin and eczema behind her knees and inner elbows. I would like to try another formula to see if a Lactose Free one helps clear up the rash, which one would be the easiest change from S-26? Her father is Lactose intolerant which is why I am trying to go the lactose free route. Regards

My baby was put on NAN lactose free during a bad time where he had tummy virus, salmonella and ecoli, when he was 9 months old. The pead said I can put him back on NAN HA during his last check up...He was 11 months then. But he emediatly started vomiting and was tearfull and didn' t sleep well....I' m not really answering your question, but what I do want to say is that he sleeps trough the night on one bottle, sometimes he would want one at 2h00, but he is also eating solids, that fill his tummy...I can only say that my baby is more relaxed and happy on NAN lctose free. With my other baby who was put on soya, he later developed an allergy to soya-|-well....
