myringotomy with grommets

My boy (8.5 months old) has grommets inserted yesterday morning. This morning he threw up soon after waking up. Then had cereal and later milk and tea. But at lunch time he could only manage two bites of veggies and threw up again. He also has loose nappies from this morning. He''s on a nose spray, ear drops and prospan for pain and fever.
Could this be cause by the anaestheic he got yesterday?

You are correct. This could be due to the anaesthetic.Another possible cause is excessive amounts of mucous in your son's stomach due to a post nasal drip.It will help to use a saline nasal spray in your son's nose twice daily for a few days to make sure that his nose remains clear of excessive amounts of mucous.Sterimar is a good choice as a nasal spray.
