Q.

my son has soft tissue damage to his arm

hello i am so mad my son had a fall and i took him to the hospital and they say its soft tissue damage and just put it in a bandage and a sling i have takeing him to another doctore and he says the same thing he is in soo much pain if someone knocks it he crys and it just is soo sore he is haveing panadole all the time they xrayed his elbow but that showed nothing can they put plaster or a back slab on it to stop the pain or do a bone scann or xray it again i just want to know why he is on some much pain please help thank you

As I have not seen the X-Rays, it is very difficult for me to be sure what is happening here. I must agree with you that he seems to be in too much pain for this to be due to a soft tissue injury. The X-ray may have missed a fracture which may be higher up on the humerus. I agree that he needs to be seen again, so please take him back to the original hospital or to a new emergency department for an entirely new opinion.
