my son has a bladder infection i think

Hi My son is 5 years old and keeps needing to go to the toilet every 5 mins but the urine is clear and is not strong in colour do i need to take him to doc

Yes, it is important that your son is seen by a doctor. Urinary infections are less common in boys and if he does have this kind of infection he will need to have special test done such as an ultrasound scan of his urinary system to exclude any anatomical abnrmalities of this system. His urine also needs to be tested for possible diabetes.

Is your son circumcised? If not, there is a slight chance he may have a tight foreskin, which is known to be a cause of UTI infections. Circumcised boys have very few if any UTIs overall.
