Q.

Little girl suffering

My little girl, 20 months, is suffering from these symptoms: cold & flu, lots of green mucus, cheeks are red and raw. Now her vagina is red and very very painful. She is feverish. We are from Wilderness and flew to Bloemfontein, have now been here for a week. All of us are suffering/adjusting from the dryness (climate change).

It sounds as if your little daughter is very ill and without being able to examine her it is difficult to advise what needs to be done. She certainly has an infection that probably started off as a cold, but now may be affecting her chest as well. In particular she may have a 'strep' infection as some of her symptoms resemble scarlet fever. Please take her to the nearest paediatric emergency unit so that she can be properly examined and treated.
