my daughters fontanelle

hi i went to see a paeditrician and he said that i much watch my daughters fontanelle as it is quite small, and he said that it musnt close before she is 12mnths and if it does we would have to go and see him every 1-2 months to check her brain growth or something like that. is this true?

A fontanelle that closes very early may be a concern. Regular measurement of the head circumference and monitoring for symptoms may be needed, but your local clinic should be able to assist with the measurements if needed.
