My 8 year old daughter

She is turning 9 this year and already wears size 32! she is also taller than most kids her age and her feet are longer too cos she is now wearing udult size 4 and 5.

i am worried that she is obesse, i try to give her veges fruits etc, but sometimes very hard for her to totally stick to that especially during school holidays when they go visit my granny, there they eat anything.

I am not sure what to do.

Your daughter is a big girl for her age. You have not mentoned her weight so I am unable to inform you if she is obese or not. In any case it is important to try to give her a diet which will not cause her to gain weight rapidly. The main thing is to avoid too much starch in her diet as well as sweets and chips.A sensible diet with lots of vegetables and fruit is essential. Only give her healthy snacks in between meals such as fruit and provita with a little marmite for example.

you need to be really strict with her eating and exercising - no use eating healthy and not exercising - try taking her for walks in the afternoons - instead of sitting and watching tv take her outside and let her do a few laps round the yard or something - be strict and tell your family that these are the rules and if they dont like it then its just too bad - its her health thats more important
