Q.

muscle developement

Hi there
I have an 8 year old son who needs to develope the strngth is his hands, he used to go to occupational therapy when he was about four which helped alot with his development and co-ordination but I have recently noticed that he struggles with simple tasks such as tying his shoe laces, cutting or opening a bottle. Do you please have any suggestions of exercises that I can do with him at home to build his strength in his hands and fingures?

It is important for him to regularly do simple things with his hands such as colouring in and keeping well within the lines. Also get him a small soft rubber ball and let him squeeze the ball at least 10 times with each hand. The important thing is to keep up these simple exercises.
