This is a viral infection of your little girl's mouth called herpes stomatitis. It is very painful and your little girl is unable to eat and is probably not drinking enough either. The danger is that she will become dehydrated. she must be taken to an emergency paediatric clinic immediately. She may require admission to hospital and may need to be fed on a drip if she is found to be dehydrated.

Dear Tebatso

It lasts 6 days and 5 nights. You can make the following mixture which, after much experimentation proved to be the best for the pain: 1 teaspoon Mucaine mixed with a dollop of Dynexan. Ask you little one to try and keep it is her mouth befoer she swallows. Its ok if she doesn''t. Get some Pediasure and give it to her with a straw. That hurts the least. And best of luck! its the most awful thing that a little person can get!
