Q.

MOSQUITO NET

I have a 5 months old baby boy and he's got mosquito bites . Which ointment can I use on his skin? I am just afraid to use the usual brands that adults use for mosquito bites. I don't have a cot at home I could have bought a mosquito net the one which comes with a stand for a cot, unfortunately I sleep with my baby on the same bed. PLEASE HELP

The best advise is to use a mosquito net, even if you have to get a big one that covers both of you. If you are not resident in a malaria area, the mosquito bites are luckily fairly harmless.

Use Mike Mozzie mosquito spray. Its part of the Aroma kids range. Its a pump action spray for babies over 6 months of age. I'm sure its fine for a 5 month old to use though - just spray it onto your bedding and maybe a little dot onto babies clothes before dressing him.

That will keep mozzies away. To stop the current bites from itching, put some calamine lotion or calasthetic cream on them (it has calamine in it).
