Q.

milk feeds at night

how do i stop my 15month old wanting milk at night still. He still does not sleep thru the night and will drink 1 - 2 milk bottles during the night. Do i cut the amount down slowly or stop altogether? He goes to sleep easily by himself at night and at creche but wakes countless times during the night i am up and down all night long. Also he still sleeps in his cot next to our bed because we dont have the space yet for his own room. I have tried controlled crying when he wakes up during the night so he might go to sleep again without offering him milk but because I am in bed next to his cot, it doesnt work he just cries for me until I get up. I just cant do it like that, i have tried.

Don't rush things here. Give him only one bottle at night. He will eventually stop this by himself. He seems to be feeling insecure for some reason and is certainly aiming to get into your bed which you must not allow.
