Q.

milk and soya allergy

My son of 5 months has an allergy to milk and soya. I tried to wean him onto formula and he got violently ill - vomiting, so had to start breastfeeding him again. Blood tests came up with no results though. He is on a formula called Nestle AL 110 as well as me still breastfeeding him. What are the chances of him outgrowing this allergy? When will a blood test prove conclusive of any allergies he may have? Michelle

AL110 is a very good and safe choice. You can do tests called CAP-RAST now to test for for milk and soya allergy. Ask your paediatrician to arrange for these tests.
