Q.

Milk Allergy in Toddler

Hi.

My Toddler a milk allergy (got her tested by pead). Toddler has been on Isomil 2 (only one that agrees with her) since 17months as recommended by the pead. I have tried to wean her off it as toddler is two now., but to no avail. Toddler wont drink any Long life soy milk or yoghurt that u get in the grocery store, I have tried countless varieties, Toddler will only drink the Isomil. I do not know what else to do as toddler needs milk so I feel rather drink the Isomil than nothing. Weight gain is normal, eating well and only drinks about two-three cups a day of isomil. Should I be worried and do you have any advice doc?

Continue on the Isomil2 as you are doing. I presume that your child is on a healthy and full diet otherwise. You need to give her additional Calcium daily. Speak to your pharmacist about this. Calcium Sandoz may be the best choice here.
