Q.

Milk allergy?

Dear Doctor, my 3 year old boy was on Isomil since age 3month (because of vomiting and cramps). I took him of the bottle and Isomil in August this year (when he became 3yr). He developed sinusitis the last 2 months. 2 Weeks ago he was at the dr who diagnosed upper respiratory tract infection (viral). Since then he had a wet cough, that comes and goes. Sometimes he spits up saliva and become short of breath. I noticed that the coughing becomes worse when running/laughing, and after eating food containing milk/ drinking milk. I'v started giving rice milk, the coughing became better. As mentioned in a previouse post, he also lost 2-3kg the last 2-3 months. He is on Zyrtec 5ml everyday for heyfever. He also sometimes gets eczema and asma(not severe). Could all this be because of a milk allergy, or just a result of the viral infection, that will past?

This is almost certainly due to milk allergy and it is absolutely essential to STOP ALL MILK AND ALL DAIRY PRODUCTS.He should only have soya or rice milk.
