Q.

MENINGOCOCCAL SEPTICAEMIA

Sorry doc.
I posted a question earlier about this. I phoned the sister at our clinic where I always take my kids for their immunisasions. She said that I need to give them the MENCE VAX injection my daughter can get the injection when she turns 2 in August but my son can get it now already since he is 7. My husband and myself will also be going for this injection. I just want to confirm with you if it will be okay to go for this injection and will this protect my kids from this meningococcal septicaemia.

Yes, this is the Meningococcal C vaccine and you will all benefit from having this immunisation. It is safe and will offer great protection against the most common form of meningococcal infection.
