medicine for flight?

Should something like Vallergen (spelling?) be used for children on international flights?

Phenergan rather? Do they still make that? I used it for my son's allergies and he was not miserable but rather content at night. Was looking for it the other day to get my little girl sleeping for at least 1 night but no one had it? :)
