Q.

Medicine Advise

I want to know what Allergex Medicine is, and for what it is used. Someone gave it to me, her baby girls gets 2.5 ml at night if she struggles to settle her to sleep. My boy is 9 months old?? He is not sleeping (i think it is the teething, and I am desperate for some sleep!)

Is it safe to use?? It is from Ad -|- Ingram, and is called Allergex

This is a sedative anti-histamine syrup that I would not advise to use only to get your child to sleep. Sleepless night are part of parenthood. Your partner needs to assist you and you need to establish a good sleeping routine in your baby. Sedative medicine is not the answer.

Allergex is for allergies.
I gave my 4 year old allergex when he had snotty nose.
I personally would not give it to such a small baby.
If he is teething try rubbing his gums with teejel.
Some people give panado syrup to help there babies sleep, once again, I do not think that this is a good idea.
Speak to your doctor or chemist, they will be able to give you sound advice.
Dont take any sort of medicene for your baby unless your doctor or chemist has given you the ok.
