Q.

Measels possible?

My 19-month old boy received 1 MMR shot a couple of months ago. His had fever for 4 days now, 40.2 degrees on the 2nd day. His breath smells really bad (not the usual "fever breath") and his eyes seems sensitive to light. His tummy was a little runny on the 3rd day, but what worries me most is that there was red blood in his nappy that day - but only once though. He has a cough and loss of appitite. He does not want to be woken up, is very quiet and pale. Clinic sister says he has sinisitus, my motherly instinct tells me something more serious is wrong. Is it possible to contract measels after a vaccination?

This does not seem to be due to measles which is very unlikely after the imminsation has been given. It seems as if he has an illness such as tonsillitis, so it is best to see your doctor about this.
