Q.

Maconium plugs and CF

My son is now 1 years old and was born with maconium plugs. The pediatrician in my country U.S warned me of the possibility that he might have a chance at having CFybrosis. He has had no signs or sympyoms since birth, and has never been mucousy or had any serious respitory problems. He also has never had fatty stool. Would he have signs already if he had CF?

Not necessarily, but you can have a test done for cystic fibrosis. Please contact your paediatrician and ask for this to be done. There are various grades severities of CF. Hopefully the tests will be negative and then you can relax.
