Children around the age of 2-6yrs of age often have very exuberant lymph node responses, but the important thing is that the lymph nodes are reactive (increase and decrease in size with infections). If the enlarged lymph nodes persist, especially if it continues to enlarge and is present in a single region only, then it needs to be evaluated.
