LO Tantrums

My 2year old girl has very bad tantrums. From birth she was a very crying baby but now it''s worse because of the tantrums. I separated from her father before she turned 1 last April and i had to take her to my moms as i wasn''t coping. I took her back in December because i have a stable place now.

my worry now is her tantrums she will cry and kick when she''s upset about something throw things at me and her brother. I now don''t know how to stop her do all this as she will cry for hours.

If you read the questions on this forum you will see that hardly a week goes by without a question about temper tantrums. These tantrums are very common in this age group. It seems that your daughter is having quite severe temper tantrums. If she starts with a tantrum tell her in a clear firm voice to 'Stop that!'Do not plead with her to stop. She must see that you mean what you say. If she does not listen then immediately put her in her room and close the door. She must stay there until she is quiet. Do this each and every time that she has a tantrum and she will soon get the message that she has to stop this kind of behaviour.
