little 3 year old boy sick now concerned

Hi well i hope someone can help my little 3 year old boy is very ill, he is now on his 3rd set of meds and well he does not seem to get any better. He had ear infection 3 weeks ago we then took him back to the Doc nd he said that the ears looks better but they are still slightly red, he then gave a 2nd set of antibiotics, we no had to take him back on Monday for the 3rd time, he had a high fever of 38.8 and now still has a middle ear infection a bad cough as well as a bladder infection.

The problem i have now is that he is on day 3 after going to the Doc and he just stays irritated, moans about pain in the legs, and head ache, he also didnt have a big urine nappy today and he slept allot. Do i need to be seriously concerned or should i see if i can get him to the Peadiatrician as soon as possible, our appointment is for Tuesday next week.

Any help is appreciated.

Is this question directed to the paediatrician or to 'someone' else?I am answering this question because of the urgency of the problem. I am concerned about your child and his symptoms. In particular if he has a headache and is irritable and drowsy he may have meningitis. It is absolutely essential that you take your son to be seen by a paediatrician immediately [or to the emergency section of your nearest hospital], you certainly cannot wait until next week.

Thanks doc for responding, i appreciate it allot thursday was a different story he is now smiling and drinks and eats better, also his urine is no longer milky, and the normal light yellow colour, i took a urine sample that was still looking milky to the doc he confirmed the bladder infection it is now 3 days after i wrote here and well it' s a different child all together.

I will however still take him to the Peadiatricain to have him checked out, he still complains about the pain in the legs mainly by the knee' s so i need to ask him about this.

Thanks all for your help.

I think you need to see a peadiatrician. Your little boy is obviously not well and sometimes the GP' s miss things that the paed pick up. Why dont you ask the receptionist at his rooms to put you on standby or explain that you do not think your son can wait that long. I hope he gets better soon.
