Hi Dr

Thank you for all your advise in the past it really is much appreciated. I have a few questions. Yesterday I took my twin daughters for there 18months shots. The one is fine but the other baby started getting a high fever an hour later and I have to give her ponstance suppositories to keep the fever at bay. She really is not looking so good, her eyes are hanging and I can not put her down for a second. This never happened before so I''m a little worried - pls advise.
Next situation, my 4yr old boy, he still has separation anxiety
does not want to go to school, does not want to sleep over at granny (or any other family members) still sleeps with me.
He''s teacher says he is very quit at school and only has 1 good friend. He''s a very happy child at home and always wants to stay at home (except if we go to the shops lol). His1 sister is the same and it''s taking it''s toll on me - pls help
Sorry for the long post.

Kind Regards

You are welcome. Your twin daughter is having the common fever reaction to her vaccination. This usually lasts for about 36 hours. It is important that she drinks normally. You are treating her fever correctly.
It is unusual for a 4 year old boy to still have such a degree of separation anxiety. He should not still be sleeping in your bed. He must sleep in his own bed.His other behaviour suggests that he is trying to go back to being the 'baby' of the house and he is attention seeking, especially with him now having younger twin sisters. His dad needs to play a big role by spending lots of quality time with him. Keep on telling him that he is a big boy now and give him small tasks to do so that he can appear to be helping to look after his little sisters.
