I just want to find out, my baby is 16 weeks old and for the past 7 days she has had a cold with a bad chesty cough, we had her at the doctor and he gave us some medication which has helped-just cough mixture and nose drops. This morning when changing her nappy I notice some green slim coming from her vaginal area, is this a symptom of the illness she has had or is it more serious, like thrush or urinary tract infection

Are you sure that the doctor did not give your baby an antibiotic? I ask this because it seems as if your baby has developed a thrush infection which is common in little girl babies who are treated on antibiotics. Stop the cough mixture which will not help her and may cause unwanted side effects.Give her a probiotic such as Reuteri drops 1ml daily for 10 days.Take her back to your doctor if her vaginal discharge continues.
