Infected PND

Hi Dr. My 4 yr old was diagnosed with an infected PND on sat.
Dr prescrived orelox 7.5ml twice daily  celestamine 2.5ml twice daily and betnesol N nose drops twice daily.
My daughter will not take the nose drops at all i really struggle she says it hurts. Can i rather give her sterimar or salex?
She still coughs VERY badly at night and i do have a humidifier on. Is this something else i can do as she is not sleeping from the coughing?
Much appreciated

From your description it seems unlikley that your daughter's cough is due to a post nasal drip. It is much more likely that she has a form of whooping cough. She does not need to use Betnesol drops. If you want to use something for her nose then use Sterimar nose spray.Betnesol drops contains a strong cortisone which is absorbed into the body and the Celestamine also contains the same strong cortisone. If she does indeed have whooping cough then Orelox is not the correct antibiotic. Your daughter should be seen by a paediatrician so that a proper diagnosis can be made.
