Infant Constipation

My baby is 5 weeks old and is having difficulty passing hard, pellet like stools. She is on a combination of Breast-milk and Formula. Is she constipated and what can I do to relief it?

The problem here is almost certainly the formula. It is recommebnded that you exclusively breast feed your baby. If you really have to use a fomula as well then use Lactogen1 for your baby.

Hi there,
My baby was only a week old when the very same symtoms presented itself. She too was on breast milk and the bottle on S26. Her pead changed her formular and sugguest Novolac IT. Once we started, withing a day or two at most, she begn to pass stools and it was such a releif. Thereafter, everyday she would go at a certain time like clockwork. Try it, it works!!

You can get it at Dischem, Babycity, all chemists and even at any baby shop( toys r us)
