Infant Constipation

I have a 4 weeks old LG who was breasfed and topped up with S26 which caused constipation I then topped up with Lactogen which did not change things I am now on Isomil which does not seem to help either. EAch time she has to pass stools or gas she screams which disturbs her sleep. I do not have enough breastmilk even after taking pills to increase milk.
I have tried Lacson syrup but do not feel confortable in usin git as well as the gleceryne supporsetory.

You are correct in that you cannot keep on giving her Lacson syrup. Your baby is very young and is very constipated. She may have a condition called Hirschsprungs disease which occasionally is the cause of such constipation at this age. Please ask your paediatrician to see your baby.

you can also add 3 drops of olive oil to 2 of her bottles - works wonders for my 6 week old lg!

Try using Nan HA. My baby passed stools very easily on this formula (although the stools are very green and smelly).

Isomil made it 10 times worse!!!
