in-love with dad?

My 5-year old daughter has always been close to her mom. All of a sudden, she does not want her mom to kiss her dad or speak lovlingly to him or hold his hand or anything. I have spoken to colleagues about this, and they say that it is normal behaviour of girls between 4-6 yrs to ' fall in love'  with their dad. Is this what is happening. Please confirm whether it is normal behaviour. Dad and mom are happily married and have always shown affection (but not too much) in front of the children so I cant understand this change.

Most if not all girls love their fathers very much. This does not mean that your little girl is 'in love' with her father. This is just normal behaviour.

My 2year old son doesnt like my husband to be affectionate with me either, he pulls his DAd away and cries when he tries to hold me or touch me. Its just because he loves me so much I guess, but I dont stop being affectionate with my husband because of it, I do want him to beused to it and understand that its normal bcause we love each other, so dont read too much into it
