Q.

Humping 2 year old boy

My son, constantly finds pleasure in rubbing against objects, his sister or my head, leg, or anything possible. He says he is wrestling...Is this normal for a boy of 2 and a half years of age? I feel that it is getting out of hand now and need to know what to do please.

This behaviour may occur and the child is not naughty, but if it is undesirable you must make it clear to him and discourage it consistently.

Sexuality in children and adults is 100% normal, and a chilod should not be made to feel "dirty" because he is discovering sensations.
Tell your child (once he is old enough to understand) that touching himself and discovering his body is not a bad thing, but that he should do it in private - most important not to blow this out of proportion and make a big thing out of it.

Tough one... my sone used to lie on the couoch and fondle himself. I just explained to him that it was fine to do so, but it was a private thing and is only for in his bedroom or the bathroom... I explained a few times, never making a fuss or making it a negative thing, and he picked it up pretty quickly.

I do think he really does it at all anymore, because I reallly didn't make any fuss or issue out of it...
