humidifiers and asthma

Dr, I' ve been getting dubble messages regarding asthma and humidifiers...Some people say the humidifiers will help opening the chest and others say it will worsten it, even causing bronchitis? Whats your view on this?

Humidifiers are not recommended for children with asthma. They do not help for asthma. Many childen with asthma are allergic and humidifiers may actually increase the amount of fungal spores in bedrooms through increasing the humidity in the room.
