Human Hands, Foot and mouth disease

Can a child contract hand,foot and mouth disease? Is it a life threatening or curable disease.
Is there a gestation period?
Is it contagious ?
Must a person be in quarantien?
Is there treatment for this disease?

The virus that causes hand foot and mouth disease may infect humans, it usually occurs in outbreaks and treatment is only supportive. This is usually not a severe disease and as far as I am aware no specific quarantine measures are required
