Q.

How to get baby into a routine

My baby is 7 months old, since day 1, I've stuggled with her. She was colic and fed every 3 hours. I stayed awake with her for 2 days and 2 nights. It was awful. She eventually came right; after I changed her formula she was a different child.

I've always just given her a bottle when she wakes up in the morning at about 07:00 she doesn't always finish it, she leaves it for a while then will sip here and there. Sometimes it'll take her 2 hours to finish a bottle. She never finishes her bottle and I'm now making her 175ml and she still doesn't finish that.

Generally, if I give her a bottle I wait an hour or two then I'll give her breakfast, 3 hours after that, another bottle, 2 hours, lunch, 3 hours bottle, 2 hours dinner, after dinner she'll drink about 100ml and fall asleep.

The only time she sleeps through is if she sleeps in the afternoon for about 2 hours. That's if my MIL has the time to put her to sleep otherwise she just leaves her and won't make an effort cos she's got things to do. Sometimes she'll wake in the night and drink her bottle finished, then the timing is completely out again.

What should I do???
