How much milk needed

My little boy is now 6 1/2 months. He was exclusively breastfed untill 6 months and now have started on solids. As soon as he got the " hang"  of eating he loved his food. He is now eating 2 " meals"  a day. Mid morning (veggies or fruit) and early evening (cereal).

How much milk should he still be drinking. He is still exclusively on breastmilk. He drinks from me in the mornings, has 2 bottles of expressed milk during the day (while I' m away at work), and then drinks from me again in the evenings. Currently he still wants one (or 2) feeds during the night. (I' m hoping that the food will soon start helping to let him sleep through)

I' m scared to give him too much food during the day knowing that he should still be drinking milk as a " main meal" .

Any advice on how much food and milk he should be consuming would be highly appreciated.

Your baby needs 140ml for every kilogram he weighs per day. As you are exclusively breast feeding it will be difficult to work out the amounts he takes. You will see from the bottles of expressed breast milk more or less how much he takes per feed.As long as your baby is gaining weight normally all should be well.
