how much formula?

Hi dr,

My baby girl is almost 8 months old, she started infacare formula from a week old. When she was almost 7 months I started her on stage 2 infacare 175ml. She has cereal in the morning and some water / juice, then she has a bottle 4 hrs later and then 4 hrs later another bottle between 5 and 6 I give her a stage 3 purity and she finishes it. At about 8pm I give her another bottle and sometimes she will drink at about 4am. Thing is she doesn''t always finish her bottles, there are times when she will only drink half maybe not even half. She will finish her cereal and purity and drink juice. How much formula must she take in? She is weighing now almost 8kgs ( she was a small baby when born).she is otherwise happy and healthy.

Thank you

Your baby's weight of 8kg at 8 months is exactly on the average for her age, so she is doing well. Her main source of nutrition at 8 months remains her milk. Her total daily fluid requirement is between 960ml to 1100ml per day. This should mainly be made up of her formula.
